Nigel Bradshaw

Nigel is a potent initiator and deliverer of change, able to adopt a strong leadership position if required. He has vast experience of all aspects of writing life and health protection business.

Nigel has run Redmayne Consulting since mid-2001 working with many clients, including reassurers, insurers, distributors and suppliers.

Previously Nigel worked at Royal Life, Prolific Life and Pensions and Scottish Provident between 1982 and 2001. At Scottish Provident Nigel was a major contributor and driver of the corporate strategy of focusing on protection business. He was co-originator of the award winning Self Assurance product.

Responsible for the actuarial development of all UK products, including reassurance strategy and management. Nigel introduced the income protection, unemployment and health cash benefits. In addition a wider Business Development remit included opening up non-IFA distribution.

In 1999 Nigel launched and was Chief Executive of the pilot of a unique health promotion concept company within Scottish Provident. The pilot was stopped prior to the demutualization of Scottish Provident, which was also the trigger for Nigel to realise his ambition to found a new type of service company.
